Shannon Rogers, President of Pacific Coast Optics and Progressive Technology, is corporate leader with deep experience in the ceramics and Sapphire manufacturing business, and a pioneer of manufacturing Sapphire for commercial use.
In his youth, he worked for his father’s commercial ceramics manufacturing business producing ceramics for the aerospace and electronics industry. In 1988, Shannon founded Progressive Technology, creating all new processes for the manufacture of ceramics for aerospace, medical equipment and orthodontics applications. The company is a world leader in manufacturing Sapphire Orthodontic Braces, the strongest material for transparent braces, in addition to utilizing unique crystal materials such as transparent alumina.
