History of Pacific Coast Optics
Pacific Coast Optics was established as J.L. Wood Optical Systems in 1968 to provide a source for high-quality, precision optical components and systems to meet the rapidly growing demand of the scientific, military, and industrial communities.
Today, the company is recognized for its quality and ability to engineer and manufacture complete optical components and assemblies.
Besides design, development, and engineering assisted services, the company provides complete manufacturing services from the raw material stage through all phases of manufacturing, including assembly and testing of the final optical system.
After developing and manufacturing thousands of custom prototype and production optical systems, Pacific Coast Optics has acquired a vast level of experience that can be used to solve new problems.
Now located in a new facility in Rocklin, California, the company is capable of processing prototype lenses as well as volume production quantities.
