Custom Lenses Produced Under One Roof
At the heart of Pacific Coast Optics expertise is the ability to deliver the highest quality lenses, Custom and Catalogue, with exacting specifications, all under one roof.
We deliver custom lenses (spherical and cylindrical) that satisfy the critical optical requirements of OEM system designers and engineers. Our substrate lens specialties include: Fused silica, BK7, high index glasses. We’ve developed numerous high-speed processing techniques enabling delivery of custom lenses with radius curvature ranging from 1 mm to infinity and sizes ranging from .5 mm to 660 mm in diameter.
For immediate optics needs and for the budget minded project, we have an excellent ability to source pre-fabricated lenses and grind and polish to meet your assembly needs.
Let our 40+ years of experience in delivering the highest quality custom and stock lenses on time, on budget, work for you.
We can produce Plane windows, Parallel windows, large wedge windows, Brewster and oblique windows for exacting requirements in demanding environments.
Infrared optics are used in a wide variety of applications, although thermal imaging is one of our primary production products. With our proprietary equipment and tooling, we have the ability to shape, grind and polish silicon material to exacting specifications.
Our experience and processing techniques allow us to achieve the surface quality you specify on our Sapphire windows and lenses. We also offer custom shapes, sizes and unique coatings at the lowest cost.
Dichroic filter coatings are designed to transmit one spectral region (passband) and reflect another (rejection band). The filter is a Short Wave Pass if the passband is to the left of the transition slope and a Long Wave Pass if the passband is to the right of the slope. The advantages of dichroic filters over colored glass filters are: 1) the rejection band is reflected rather than absorbed; 2) a steeper transition slope between the passband and the rejection band, i.e., a sharper cut-on or cut-off; and 3) coatings can be custom designed for specific center wavelengths.
The existence of a cutting-edge machining and tooling department capable of fabricating unique mechanical components for the production of optical assemblies improves our ability to design and develop new optical systems.
